Manufacturing process
Each Matcha Society™ Chawan is created with a focus on balance, form, and function. First, the bowl is carefully shaped from high-quality ceramic to ensure the ideal depth and width for the traditional whisking of matcha.
It is then fired at high temperatures, which creates stability and durability. The black glaze is applied evenly and fired again – this creates the characteristic, deep black surface with its calm, elegant appearance.
